Friends,
We are living in perilous times. Our Savior is coming soon, but like the five wise virgins we must have oil in our lamps before the Bridegroom appears (Matthew 25:1-13). This oil represents the Holy Spirit. We cannot get this from another person. Only by prayer, supplication and self-denial can the Spirit reign in our lives. Today, we need to open our hearts to God and realize the sense of urgency we must adapt. We are living in the eleventh hour and at the midnight cry only those who are ready will be going home.
Jesus says: “Behold I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20). Our Lord wants to help us, but we must accept Him.
Let us pray for the Holy Spirit, and allow Him to lead in our lives.
